About Gracie

Gracie came to us when a rescue group in Nottingham closed down. She doesn't mind being looked at, however she likes to keep her own space to herself and does not like interactions with anybody.

Description of the European Eagle Owl

The largest species of owl in the world, this owl has prominent ear tufts and vivid orange eyes. It has buff-brown upper-parts, heavily marked with black and a grey(ish) facial disk. Under-parts paler buff-brown with black streaks and a white throat. The colour of these owls varies depending on location, becoming paler as you move eastwards in the northern parts of the range up to western Siberia, then progressively darker to Pacific coast. The size of the bird also decreases throughout Europe from East to West, and North to South.
